It seems to me that the names of llmd's that
people have sent me are holisitic doctors, whom use holisitic approaches. Do they prescribe meds, orjust herbal treatments? Or am i just confused. I am keeping my appointment with my rheumatologist for tomorrow, hence i got that appointment ASAP and my insurance covers it. I know people that have gone to rheumatologists and have had great care, and even ID doctors. ANy suggestions?

I saw a "holistic" doc in PA...Dr. P close to Philly. He actually was INTEGRATIVE. He prescribed ABX and way too many suppliments. But I DID achieve wellness doing both and had no symptoms for almost 4 years.

It is my understanding that many of these "holistic" docs prescribe ABX too. But you should call their offices and find out. It is a reasonable and quick question that any secretary should be able to answer.

If I were you I would TRY the reumie, but have an appoint with a recommended LLMD already so you dont have to wait too long. Their waiting list for new patients can be MONTHS long. Get on it NOW and save yourself some grief.

Good luck,
let us know how it turns out!

I would say many LLMDs are not holistic and use primarily ABX in treatment. For me, I often which that they were more holistic than they are as I do not believe that one gets well by simply taking a bunch of ABX pills. It takes much more than that and many conventional docs don't understand it all. Personally, I have a mix of contentional, alternative, holistic, integrative, etc. practitioners that I work with.

I would still find an LLMD...find one that has more then two satisfied patients. You can find by asking on this board. Many do have waiting lists...i called one near West chester PA and it was an 8 month wait. If i had made that appt i would still be waiting.

I wouldnt put much faith in the reum. Plus you will most likely want another opinion so might as well get one from a LLMD.

Hi,

I've been to 4 llmd's in the se pa area and only one of them has recently integrated supplements in to the recipe. I haven't heard of any hollistic llmd's around here.

Where did you get your info?

Corgilla
