Hi - I've just had my antibiotics increased from doxy (100 mg bid) to tetracycline (500 mg tid) and am feeling weak and foggy-headed (but so far my guts are fine). Any suggestions for combating the toxicity? I'm expecting to have to combat this for months, so a medically acceptable solution is preferred.

I am guessing that the antibiotic may not be the problem, but rather the neurotoxins created by dead/dying organisms.
For that, all the standard stuff. Chlorella, infrared sauna, etc. Anything that will help your body detox may be useful and the chlorella will help bind the neurotoxins. Read the Dr. K protocol.

OK, I'm ignorant here. What are the standard treatments for neurotoxicity?
I won't have an appointment at a Lyme clinic until the middle of next month and am trying to educate my PCP myself (she's appreciative, but cautious, too). So, I guess what I'm saying is I'm a little in the dark about ancillary treatment.
