I drink orange juice all the time. Is it the sugar in it?

Short anwer is 'yes'. Not only the regular natural sugar from oranges but also additional sugar to bring the juice to industry standard (the sweetest state the orange juice ever gets so the consumer will always receive the same product regarding sweetness).

If you are on heavy ABX, keep away from fruit juices... You are just lookling for trouble

yeast. juices and sugars feed the yeast when the abx are killing all the good and bad bacteria in your system.

I drink small amounts of 100% cranberry juice (2 oz. at a time), but only with food, and only a couple of times a day. I don't believe in completely cutting out fruit from the diet, and also eat whole fruits (not dried) based on Dr. B.'s guidelines, but only one piece of fruit a day.

To balance that out, I have cut out honey and my beloved maple syrup from my diet, and have switched to stevia.

But I guess your sugar intake should also depend on whether or not you have a candida problem.

To this "rule" I can only say - I would rather be dead than not be able to drink juice or eat fruit.
They are alive foods and contain many healing ingredients.

We have never gone without either one, whether on abx or not.

We also never went without maple syrup and n e v e r without honey. Honey is always a staple in our household, as are other bee products.

From my experience with many Lyme friends, the problems originate elsewhere if people can't get well - not with healthy godsent foods.

Moderation is the key, I think.

Take care, and don't deprive yourself of all the good stuff. The frustration of control and not having it is not healthy either.

Take care.
