I know we are all different but how long should I want till I see improvement? I was sick for approx. six years before being diagnosed with lyme and co-infections.
Hence, I am fairly sick. About six months into treatment and I still feel horrible.
At what point do most start improving? At what point do you question if you are getting proper treatment though it sounds right (from research and on here)?
I just feel so horrible and don't feel better, so anybody that took longer to feel better PLEASE let me know! Thanks :-) This is far from enjoyable at best.

Yes, we are all different, however, I too went for close to six years without treatment AFTER I had SOME treatment earlier, and it should NOT take that long to feel at least some HELP for your symptoms.
Like I have stated many times on this board, that I got relief from most of my symptoms after only a few days on herbs.
However, when I went on abx to supplement the herbs, I started feeling real bad again. Now that I have been OFF the abx for a little over a week, I am feeling MUCH better now.
Get the herbs, you will be GLAD you did.

blackbird, you had it for a long time so it will take a long time to go away -only with Abx. If you felt no change at all you should try another Abx, it is normal though and obviously a good sign if you felt worse from time to time, it means you killed lots and then the toxins cause bad symptoms too. It gets better after all the toxins left your body.

blackbird.....hubby has had improvement, slowly but surely after 5 months of ABX.
Not sure what herbs JM is talking about. I'm sure it's on the board somewhere. ?

blackbird,
I was undiagnosed with Lyme for at least 9 years before I started treatment in June...probably longer.
My first two months were absolutely horrible. Little by little, though, I've gradually begun to notice progress. I had a setback in Dec because of some dental work.
At that point, some new symptoms emerged, and LLMD told me they were indicative of one of the co-infections (Bart) and put me on a second antibiotic.
Now, I feel as if I'm making much more dramatic progress.
I'm still troubled by certain symptoms, but some have completely left.
One thing that helped me was keeping a record of my symptoms and charting them on a day-to-day basis. I remember in Dec when I had started to feel discouraged, I pulled out all the symptom sheets and lined them up. I could see then I really was moving forward, even though it didn't necessarily feel that way.

BlackBird and Boomerang:
I JUST bumped up the post on herbs. So it should be on either page one or two depending on what time of day you look for it. " It is called: "Herbal Protocol that I am Taking, HELPING".
It should have just about everything you need to know to start feeling BETTER, in a very short time. PM me IF you have any other questions.
