I thought that I had been successfully treated for LD with extensive abx and naturapathic remedies.
Most of my sx are gone with the exception of some neurcoginitive stuff (does that ever go away?).
My LLMD from out of state is no longer seeing patients in my area so I am dealing with some well intentioned by uninformed docs.
I am having severe chronic neck, back and shoulder pain. It moves around and doesn't always stay in the same area.
I fainted last summer and injured my neck and this has continued even with PT.
I'm seeing a physiotherapy doc and he wants to do all kinds of experimental tx's to try to find the root of the problem.
Could this possibly be some kind of post lyme problem? Does anyone have any suggestions to minimize the pain short of pain meds?
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Amanda,
I really don't know but suspect it could be. I suffer from horrible neck and TMJ problems and have for a very long time. I've done lots of PT, chiro and cranial sacral with no lasting results.
I'd definitely do the diagnostic testing with your doc to rule out anything more serious but think it could be a lyme symptom.
Do you have an LLMD and if so have you asked your doc? Do a search under symptoms of lyme and I think neck and back pain were mentioned.
Best of luck!

Amanda,
I have been suffering neck & back pain for too long, and lately my neck & shoulders are much worse -- along with pain in practically all regions of my face: jaws, throat, ears and splitting headaches!
I've just been put back on abx about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I don't know if this is a result of herx or what.
Anyway, from what you say about your pain, I wouldn't be suprised if you've got recurrent lyme. Please do follow up with your dr about this and be persistent! Posted by pab (Member # 904) on :
I have severe neck and shoulder pain. I'm going to a pain clinic and I am feeling less pain.

Very likely is, but DO get checked out!
Moose....sounds like a herx. Sorry you're so miserable!
One of my most persistent problems has been with my neck and shoulders. I think some of it is from 2 major car wrecks over the years. Seeing a new chiro. I think we're making progress.
