Has anyone tried NT Factor? It is said to improve Mitochondrial and cell membrane function improving fatigue. I started my daughter on it about 10 days ago. Her fatigue is much worse and I don't know if this could be the cause.

It is so hard to tell sometimes if she has a virus, this is her Lyme or this new supplement.

I have tried something called transfer factor---is this what you are talking about?

It was 5 years ago--so i dont remember much, but others here have taken it too.

How is she doing now?

Hi trails,

This is not the same as Transfer Factor. Here is the web site.

http://www.ntfactor.com/index.html

She is still not doing well. Hard to say if it is the NT Factor, virus, herx or the Lyme. My daughter wants to stay on the NT Factor to see if it helps.

If anyone has tried this let me know.

My husband tried NT Factor almost 3 years ago, when he just had the 'diagnosis' of CFS and was so fatigued that he could rarely get out of bed. He describes it as "having a 'wired' (like caffeine) feeling but not having any energy to go with it, so it just made me even more tired." He tried it a few different times, but still the same result. Still have the left-overs in the cupboard, along with lots of other stuff that just made him worse. Just his experience.

Thanks Kristie. I am going to stop it right away and see if she improves. Did the fatigue start within a few days of when he started the NT Factor?

Yes, for him, most all of the meds that he tried made him feel worse in 24-48 hours, to the point where he realized it was an undesireable side effect and then he would stop. At that time in his illness, most meds, even in very small doses, made him worse. Good luck with your daughter!

Hi
I havent' tried it yet but Dr B says that if I do not respond to the Magnesium/coQ10 increase then he will give me this for mitochondrial dysfunction.
