Hi: My lymie 14 year old daughter scratched her back earlier today--and realized there was blood on her finger. Turned out she had some kind of weird blood blister (perhaps?) on her back. Didn't hurt at all but sure looked weird. We took a digital photo and e-mailed it to the doc. Waiting to hear back. She's on so many different medicines, I'm wondering if this might be some kind of reaction. Anybody had a similar experience?

I'm 21 and although I wouldn't call it a blood blister I frequently get blood on my finger when I scratch my back. Acne or something more? I'm not sure. But they aren't normal pimples.
Wish I could give you a solution but I just live with it and chalk it up to one more effect of Lyme.

i had the same years ago, but the blister kept growing quickly and it took a long time to stop bleeding when i scratched it accidently. it didnt hurt. i had it removed. it was before i got the lyme disease though

My mom was having a terrible problem with blood blisters - turned out it was due to yeast!

Can't tell much from your description but since we are talking about tick bourne desease on this website, take a look on the internet for bacillary angiomatosis.
This is blood "blister" looking thing that is common with bartonella. It is a rather facsinating thing that has been reported in immuno competent people that have been exposed to bartonella (I don't remember which strain though).

I am not a medical professional but would suspect bartonella as the culprit.
