The study was done in two NE states, so that could account for the limiting of the geography in the title. However, as we know, they downplay the extent of lyme elsewhere.

Interesting that they now know more about the genetic variation of the spirochete in animals than they do in people.

And why was the lone star tick omitted? Surely they found some.
