Don't know what to think. I get scalp lesions and bumps on my head. Several times when I went to scratch a scab, a spiral shaped thing came out.
I tried not to think about it, and told myself I was imagining it. It was rubbery and curled. Several times I scratched and something actually retreated back into scalp.
It happened again today. I am soooo freaked. I have been on some very strong herbs for 5 months and feel much better in other ways.
I once read on one of the vit c/salt sites that talked about this but I didn't want to believe it.
Anyone know how big these ketes are? Anyone else experience this? I think I will go myself out now. Just kidding. Sometimes I think denial is better.
Diagnosed with bart, babas erlichia and lyme in 1999.

Hmmm. They are not ketes. I would investigate Morgellons as one option.

Its....
THE ALIEN!!!!!
Sorry, I couldn't resist. That would freak me out too. What does your Dr. say it might be? The next time it happens you should try to get a picture of it, so you have something to show them, if it doesn't happen at the right time to show it to your Dr.
I wish I'd taken a picture of the EM I had on my leg. When I realized that's what I'd had, I told my Drs, but they didn't believe me!!! Why would I make up something like that???

Can't be keetes cause you have to have a high powered microscope in order to see them. It could be worms though. It is common for them to come out through the skin and scalp when taking the right meds or herbs. You should try to get it identified by a lab somewhere so that you will know for sure what kind it is. I know that this is tough to do. Most Dr's don't know where to send such things. Maybe a local Vet could identify it for you?

Hmm, I wonder if they are bot fly larvae...
Do a search on them and see if it looks familiar.

(micro-) filaria? nematodes? morgellon's disease?i don't recall their sizes of these organisms though, but its not a spirochete.
i think normal human vision has a resolution of approx. 2 microns, so this is a basis of comparison for cystic, baby, adolescent, and adult borrelia.
probably helpful things:
if nematodes, d-papain(an enzyme) should get their numbers down. see merck index.
pancreatin, which contains elastase has some bactericidal properties.
lysozyme,an enzyme, has antibiotic properties, but this can't be taken in large doses. over the long term at maximal allowable dose, it would be helpful. see merck index.

I agree...it's definitely NOT a spirochete! Creepy, really creepy! Let us know if you find out what they are!

Patti,
Silly me, Of course IT'S THE ALIENS. I forgot about the colored flashing lights, the 2 men in black in my elevator, and the scalp surgery they did on me! Actually, nothing would surprise me after going thru this journey.
PQ
Funny thing is I take mega plant enzymes with bromelain, papain, papaya, ginger, pepsin, pancreatin, ox bile, peppermint and aloe vera. It calms things down, but when I take the herbs for spiros, the bumps come right out again. The only reason I thought about ketes, was when my LLMD say he has gotten out ketes intact from peoples nodules.
Think about it.

Mikken mentioned bot fly larva. I googled for images of bot fly, and OH MY !!
Beware, this is a long page, and kept me reading on the edge of my seat. (Something to occupy you if you ever get bored.)

Alright...We can all Stop checking our heads for...ALIEN WORM-THINGYS!!! Deeeep Breath... AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Posted by SForsgren (Member # 7686) on :
Seriously - research Morgellons. It sounds very similar.
Posted by psano (Member # 7785) on :
Ok, that does it! I read some of that page on Bot flys, and now I'm never going to Belize or Costa Rica.

I have heard of this happening when doing an antiparasitic detox -- I suspect it is some kind of worm. Morgellon's fibers don't move, do they??
In any case, yes, I've heard of worms coming out through lesions on the scalp. Think of it this way -- it is a lot better to have them out of your body than *in* it!

Can you take a picture next time and post it here?

It definately sounds like Morgellons. Go to the link and read up on it and joint the group. They have some great suggestions on what to do about it. pattiecakes

I'm gagging on my rice krispies right now. I know if something like that came out of my daughter's scalp we would have to sedate her.
Seriously, what herbs are you taking? That must be some potent stuff to chase a critter out of the skin!
Posted by SForsgren (Member # 7686) on :
Some people have the Morgellon's fibers actually fly out of their body. So, yes, they can move from what I understand.

Morgellon's.......you will find others with this experience. Good luck and take it easy here.

I'm sorry. Althought written with "humor" I am really curious about this. I mean, it truly could happen to my daughter. If there is something like that going on in her body. I want to know what to take to get rid of it. Or, if it does happen, I want to know what to do about it.
So, I hope I didn't offend anyone, this is all new to me and I'm going to do a search on all you mentioned.

sounds like bot fly larva - I've seen tons of them on dogs and horses - sounds just like what you described. Yikes!

We had a rabbit become infested with botflies once. The rabbit got away and dug a hole. Botflies lay their eggs around the entrance to the hole so the eggs will be picked up by the rabbit as it enters the hole.
I wish we had a filmclip of the experience we had when we discovered lumps with eyes on the rabbits. All four of us were gathered around staring in disbelief. It was truly horrifying and an experience we will never forget.
We were ultimately told by a old farmer what they were, and he said best thing to do would be to let them run their course, develop, then they would come out on their own.
That they did. The holes healed up nicely and we cannot even tell that the poor rabbit had 3 botflies develop inside her.
Gross, but true.

Hi Gael, If Morgellons- been there. Tea Tree Shampoo with menthol or peppermint helps. By Giovanni is the best we've found.
Systemically, Cat's claw, pau d'arco, sarsaparilla, garlic, oregano, grape seed extract, and more garlic, will help with the Lyme spirochetes and the other bacteria, fungus, yeast, and mycoplasma, that tag along.
Lyme can set you up for almost any infection because your immune system takes a hit.
