go to any doctor and tell them what happened and get doxycycline from them BY ANY MEANS.

then you get yourself an LLMD (lyme literate doctor). But in the meantime, address it as fast as possible!!!

Get to a doctor ASAP and doxycycline. Tic reproduction time for spirochetes is 28 days. You need antibiotics to cover that period and beyond.

Doxy will cover you in the event the tic carried erchliosiosis. Remember ticks carry co infections.

Post" in doc needed" to find LLMD- but get to a MD and antibiotics until you can get to a llmd. DO NOT WAIT TO SEEK TREATMENT!!! Be aware of your symptoms and report to your doctor any changes. Stay strong!!!

hello!

These are called TICK bites, not tic bites, big difference. For known tick bites, most doctors will agree that treatment must begin immediately.

SOURCE: Lyme Disease Treatment Guidelines
Please read the information on tick bites and the need for prompt treatment.

Doxycycline 400-600 mg /day for 6 weeks is commonly used now for known tick bites.

The others have given you good advice.

One suggestion to add -- get some tea tree oil at the health food store and rub it on the bite -- will disinfect site of bite.
