As you all probally know, I have been on abx for a year without any change in symptoms.

How long should I give it before I quit?

How long have you all been on abx?

Hi,

Have you been tested for co-infects?
What were your WB results?
What meds are you taking now?

Take meds as long as it takes to become better!

I am taking Tetracycline 1500 mgs a day for now six months..

Thanks,

Since the Lyme bacteria are vulnerable to the abx only during their reproduction phase, and the bugs reproduce so slowly, the abx have to be around for a long time. I've been on abx for 6 months, and figure I have another 18 to go.

I took abx nonstop for 4+ yrs. Then was bit again and had to go back on, had an infection from surgery, [had to go back on]...and have been off abx again now since Sept. [My 6 yr anniversary is August '06.]

It took one full year before I could tell the abx were doing ANYTHING, and another yr before I began to feel halfway decent.

Dont' give up!

Clinically diagnosed with lyme.
Tested pos to babesia, ana, ebv, hhv6, cmv.

abx used:
minocycline
zithromax
biaxin
mepron
amoxicilin
flagyl
clindomycin
laviquin
There was another, I am so foggy I cant remember the name, it is like the most popular IV abx!

Prior to going to llmd, my GP put me on doxy for 3 months cause she was confused about my situation. She also tried tequin for 10 days

Four months, break of 4 months and another 7 months after that. So together it is 11 months.

Many symptoms gone, some are still around.
