I thought it best to get the Homedics foot massager/spa out. I had to have dh carry it full from the bathroom to my office chair.
Water is still to hot to use....but the saddest thing, is dh said to me, "did you put your salts in it?", meaning the Epsom salts. I don't know why this made me sad.......he's trying so hard to help me and I can't even help myself.
Am I the only one with foot/shin aches? While I'm waiting for the water to cool down, my feet are on fire and my shins are screaming in ache.
God, I hate this......and it never seems to end. I'm on abx and have had this the whole time, for years, until I started the IV Rocephin. For six weeks on it........it all went away. I was 1/2 myself again. Then the insurance cut it off...well, not true, they said they wouldn't pay for any of it and was out of work.
So I'm on doxy now from my duck and it does NOTHING to help me. I'm three steps back now. Dh is so mad at me...he wants me to call the doc and scream at her. He hates to see me in pain. I don't like it myself.
Except for dh, I pray for someone in the medical field to care. They don't.
Happy Easter......I'll be submerged for the next few hours but it won't help.
Maybe I'll just open a bottle of wine and forget about it.

Hubby has been having some problems with feet and calves hurting but not nearly as bad as you.
Recently resumed weekly massages and massage therapist is doing some lymphatic massage on feet and ankles -- even though hubby has been walking 2 or 3 miles most days for exercise lymph in feet and lower legs is not draining properly.
Massages do seem to be helping some.
Foot pain seems to bother him worse when he lies down to sleep -- rubbing something like ICY HOT on the feet and lower legs (I got a generic brand from CVS) does help sometimes so he can get back to sleep.
He never had any pain with Lyme and tickborne illnesses until he started treatment with Mepron and it has been an aggravation ever since, although it is nowhere near his worst symptom.
Hope something helps.

hi tothepoorhouse
I get foot pain alot. And the joints in my feet too. Some days are worse than others. not really sure why. If I over due in the walking department, I also get the shin pain too.
Not sure if it is bart or just the lyme thinkin that looks like good realstate?
The thing that works best for me is temporary relief..
is soaking in warm ebpson salts. I also have a "foot bath " whirpool that I just got and haven't tryed yet.
I can empathixe with you ,because sometimes every step I take I can be heard mumbling

I have pain in the bones in my legs and pain in the joints of my toes as well as some stabbing pain in my feet.
I have a pair of down slippers that I find comforting to my feet. For the longest time they were they only thing I could stand to have on my feet.
Otherwise a moist heat microwavable heating pad (not the kind with rice in it)helped some.

Feet pain and inflamation was brought up recently on this board and the most recent info says that bart is the cause of feet related pain. You might want to talk to your doc about affordable treatments for bart. Just a suggestion.
