Hi

Does anyone else get a symptom of feeling their body 'tense' up as if all the muscles go into mild rigor and feel shaky?? I get this and it lasts for hours at a time, stops me sleeping as I feel so uncomfortable and anxious.

Does anyone know why this is?

thanks
Emma

Hi Emma,

Yes I get this as well. For the longest time, I was not even aware of it!

Yes, it is like a rigor. After a little over 6 months of treatment, it happens less often but it still happens.

I almost thing it goes beyond muscles and into tendons and joints or something, especially of the hips. And could somehow be related to the numbness in the thighs (which seems to go to the bone)...and down to the feet.

I do not know what causes it but I hope someone posts with knowledge about the reasons behind this symptom.

I have this! It's really, really horrible and has got worse in the last 3 weeks. I just feel anxious the whole time and really tensed. It's almost like I'm waiting for something awful to happen, like a heart attack or something! My feet and legs go very tensed, this is usualy worse during the evenings.

I also have this very tight calfs and hamstrings mine are painful and some times twitch (knocking type) Mine are always worse at night but, have it during the day too? Sometimes the pain is so bad it feels like broken glass under my skin. Everyone says take magnesium. Not sure what kind or how much. I also hope someone posts with knowledge of this.

I get this in my gut where all my muscles tense up and spasm.

Probably this is that muscles are trying to expel Bbs out of them.

I have this. Starts with the abdominal muscles, like having the worst butterfilies in the stomach. Mine will involve the whole body and can be quite intense.

I have found that if you go with it and let them out so to speak you will feel much better and relaxed. Tense the muscles and let them shake or tremor. My theory is a build up of toxins.

PAINTED TURTLE, CHRIS B THE LYMIE:
I think mine sounds like what you describe...sometimes I wonder is it the nervous system as it is through my entire body.

I suspect it is a co-infection but don't know which one!

I have Babs and Bart.

NUKEGIRL: Iused to get what you describe...very painfully. Babs and Bart love the gi tract...my symptom is an all over, cns one I think.

LADYLYME : Yours does sound like it could be magnesium deficiency...even though I was taking supplements for this I was still deficient. This is why Dr B uses Mag tabs, they are easily absorbed - 2- 4 a day dose.

Bettex99 : thanks yes there maybe is a neurotoxin element involved too.
