Does anyone know anything about live-cell therapy?

I read about it in the story a woman who had severe lyme and is doing much better due to this treatment.

From what I understand, the treatment is injecting embryonic cells from the blue shark intramuscularly.

Evidently, sharks have superior immune systems. When these cells are injected into humans, it can have a profound effect on their health.

I am very interested in learning more, has anyone ever tried it or heard of it?

Live cell therapy has different meanings.

A former PCP used the term for injections of various glandular tissues, such as adrenal tissue -- think the source was cows but not sure.

Can be very expensive.

Tried to talk hubby into this. I have notes somewhere.

This is on the list of things I might be willing to try if we won the lottery.

Actually the docs CFS patients had pretty good results from this -- no they didn't have Lyme, but other viruses usually such as CMV, HHV-6 and Epstein Barr -- all things hubby has also tested positive to.

You might want to try shark liver oil -- it is supposed to be an immune booster. Hubby has taken this in the past -- before Lyme. Brandname was Squalene I think.

Several years ago there were a couple of popular books written on this subject -- "Sharks Don't Get Cancer" and "Sharks Still Don't Get Cancer"

Maybe I'll add this back to the list of things I need to research further.

Sounds too weird to me:

You want a shark's immune system run in your body? How this would compatible to you own immune system? and any cells other than yours would be a strong antigen to you immune system, and how the embryonic cells develop into the immune system?

I think there is a million of questions about it.

Im not sure all the details but, we have a women in our support group that takes smething like this. I am new to this whole "lyme thing" so I have not spent much time researching it here is the link she talks about.

Hope that this helps, she swears by it. I plan to take this once I get the abx under control. It is kind of expensive, but you can't put a price on health.

I've heard of ingesting shark cartiledge but injecting live cells from a blue shark....g-d only knows what other problems you could be injecting yourself with.

The fact that sharks don't get cancer and still don't get cancer....is not important because 1. I'm not a marine biologist, and 2. I'm not a shark.

I definitely think it would have a profound effect on your health....but not in a good way.

I had a niece with heart defects born in the late 70's, and she recieved valve's from a pig. Within a few months she died from luekemia. I often wonder if it was introduced by the pig.

That is really playing around with mother nature....no? My niece would have died had she not tried this....turns out she did anyway.
Unless you are terminal...I think you are fishing in the wrong pond.

Thanks for the feedback.

I read a fellow lyme patients story, and she had a dramatic improvement after receiving this therapy.

I wish you the best of luck with whatever you may decide to do.

I didn't mean to come off snotty it just reminded me of my niece. I apologize if I offended you.

I do agree with Dave though get a lot of information first by asking a million questions.

Good luck,
Acorn
