I am taking culturelle with Lactobacillus GG by CAG Functional Foods (2 tablets 2x per day) per LLMD recommendation BUT it is very expensive ... I figure it is costing almost $100/month -> does anyone know of something cheaper with similar success in keeping away yeast? thanks

Keeping away yeast?
the yeast free low carb diet, and oral nystatin swish and swallow. Acidophilus in yogurt, and stuff like PB-8, kyodophilus, kefir etc. I get culturelle at CVS, yeah it is expensive. [Smile]

I take Perque DigestaGuard Forte. There are 120 or 150 tabs I think and they were $53 at my doc's office. Here is a link about it...

Theralac is cheaper than that and way better.

www.theralac.com

or Ultimate Flora at your local health food store. About $1 a day.

Yeah I saw the $100 someone was spending on Culturelle and had to post...that's waaay to much.

The Theralac definitely seems they have quite a few bragging rights compared to the Culturelle site.

What makes it cheaper? Do you now only take 2 a week after the intro period or do you take more?

How are you basing which is better? Do you feel or notice a difference or by the information each provides about their products?

I've been using the Culturelle because as I mentioned 30 days is only $14.95 and if you double up then your still under $30 a month.

I'm almost out though and if something else is truly better, as well as cheaper I'd be interested!
