Hi All,

I know timing is everything . . .

so I was wondering if maybe it isn't such a good idea to take the Caprylic Acid or other yeast killers at the same time as the Probiotics.

I am just wondering if the Caprylic Acid, Oil of Oregano and Grape Seed Extract actually kill the Probiotics if taken at the same time.

Any help appreciated.
Judy

I have taken caprylic acid with the acidiphilous for years. Seems to work.

It's probably OK. I know you can take Diflucan and Nystatin at the same time. It must only kill the "bad" yeast.

Maybe there's more info here:

I agree that this sounds okay and I do it as well. The anti-fungals should not impact the probiotic UNLESS you are taking Florastor in which case they will be killed by the caprylic.

The caprylic acid shouldn't be a problem, but the oregano and grapefruit seed extract are antibacterial as well as antifungal, so those two will kill the good bacteria. [Cool]

Thanks for the help.

I've been taking caprin at the same time as my probiotics.
From the posts it sounds like this regime should be okay.

I was considering taking grape seed extract or oil of oregano in the near future. Since these shouldn't be taken with the probiotics, am I correct in assuming you can take them with the antibiotics?

Also, does anyone know when olive leaf extract should be taken?

Thanks again,
Judy
