Started having this kidney pain in my back a few couple weeks ago, feels like a cramping on & off. I am on Doxy right now. Went to MD and UA was negative. Are my kidneys being damaged? What can I do. Maybe I should cut back on my dose of doxy.

where exactly is your back pain, what side etc? Did your Dr say this was kidney pain?

Did he run blood work to check for kidney function?

This could be a yeast issue, are you taking probiotics , following the low carb, no sugar diet?

All this said it could be the lyme also making your urine cloudy. My main symptom involves my bladder and i have lower right back pain (which my llmd says is lyme not kidney related) .

Drink plenty of water.

ive had so many negative UA's i lost count. some with high nitrates some with high white blood cells.

Chetes in particular like our kidneys...

could be the natural flushing of the dead bodies going thru...the toxins...or cystic form of the disease......

I suggest you get some kidney cleansing herb...cranberry juice at the least....and drink tons of water.....

I have kidney pains on and off (like someone stabbing me with a knife) and have cloudy urine sometimes. Also, sometimes the urine is foamy, there are traces of blood and it is of very light colour.

Recently I had my kidneys checked by a nephrologist as I started to be very worried.

Result: My kidneys are just fine! Nothing out of the ordinary.

Two days later I had this pain again. So for me, I think, it's the Lyme. But I'd have it checked in any case to be sure.

fwiw,

one radio-pharmacist said bromelain is good for the kidney. i forget the explanation, but given the broad background of the listening audience his explanation didn't go too deep.

i once went to teh e.r. with flank pain, and a 'spastic' kidney that i was having for approx. 2-4 weeks prior to the e.r. visit, thinking i was undergoing kidney failure. at the time, i wasn't taking an meds., and if anything, low to moderate dose vit. B-cplx.

after waiting 4 hours in the e.r. to be told nothing is wrong(no urinalysis, only physical exam); "what am i doing with the gown on, after being asked to remove my clothes and dress in the gown...this [ e.r.] is for sick people"...condenscending ocular dialect behavior, and o/w viciously demoralizing, patronizing conduct," i took my very first 3-4 wobenzyme tablets(maybe more, i foget) that i held off taking so as not to possibly confound test results, and got significant relief within an hour.

check your pm .
