As always, a thank you for EVERYONE on this site who are always so helpful and supportive.

My Doc - Dr. S in NJ has been great thus far, and I expect him to continue to be.

Here are my results, which I am having trouble understanding, and would like the opinions of the group.

Not going to list all the negative bands, only the positve and IND bands.

WB IGM Results:

41 kDa +
45 kDa ++
66 kDa +

All other bands negative.

WB IGG Results:

39 kDa IND
41 kDa ++
66 kDa +

Thanks!

Jade, someone else this week posted their results. Look for that post. TUTU/LYMETOO gave a link for Dr. C's explanation ... really good job of explaining it. Look for her comments.

You don't have enough to be shown as positive on CDC records; shucks! You do have enough to be positive for Igenex' records.

Welcome to the board. See TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS; print it out; it will be helpful to you. In there is a LOT of info explaining the western blot tests! Go there too.

I think this may be the post with Lymetoo's link that bettyg was referring to. Click on this thread:

Scroll down a bit on that thread,
look for Lymetoo's post and her link for Dr C's explanation of the test.

Welcome Jadedemolush [Smile]

Remember that even Igenex isn't perfect. Your doc will probably be looking closely at your symptoms with these kind of results.

Your results look like mine from Igenex (but a week before those results, Stonybrook Labs reported me at CDC positive for IgM).

So keep monitoring the symptoms and hang in!!
Best,

The IND is an indication of the presence of Borrelia even though the results overall are not that strong. They may become stronger with treatment. See my Testing page at www.BetterHealthGuy.com and there are links from that page that explain the various bands. Be well.

One other note, 66 is usually a band for Ehrlichia. Did you get tested for coinfections?

your results are very simlar to mine.

what were your coinfection results.

Scott i wasnt aware band 66 could be Ehrlichia.

PS i also see Dr S.

I do not recall all of the coinfections i was tested for, however the ones that I was tested for all came back negative. I'll have to review the paperwork. I do have a hard time telling the difference between hot and cold, and have a difficult time sleeping and staying warm... so there may be something else underlying as well.
