I too find that the pain gets worse in the evenings then seems to let up some by bedtime.
THEN the worst of any time (in the 24 hr cycle) comes in the early mornings (4am on) and totally disrupts my sleep. I toss and turn for a while then get up to take something for the pain. After about an hr I can get some sleep again.
This 24 hr cycle happens whether it's "regular" days or herxing.

Pam,
Do you have any days that you are NOT Herxing?
I have had some "good" days since I started on Doxy in mid March and Biaxin last week.
Or I should probably say I have had some good "day times."
I feel the pain/stiffnes, etc in my arms and shoulders pretty much all day long, and it gets worse at night.
My pain in the legs is usually not too bad during the day but gets crazy at night.
But when I wake up in the middle of the night (at least 2 times), it's usually my arms and shoulders that bother me a lot and keep me up.
Sometimes, I don't know if I am Herxing or simply having a bad day from "regular" pain.
It's certainly very hard to explain to others (I don't even quite understand the whole thing about Herxing.)
