When do you twitch and jerk? I twitch now if i stretch my hand and arm or if i was walking somewhere and am trying ti relax for the night.
I also have myclonus jerks sometimes early in the morning or when i am trying to relax at night watching TV. Does anyone have anything similar?
Right now on Mino 300Mg a day and Zithromax 500Mg a day.

I get myoclonus when I am tired or stressed, so it tends to happen more in the evening, but can happen during the day. Right now I am taking Keppra and Klonopin to control it, but I have had an increase this month in the jerks, so I will have to have the meds changed or adjusted.
Mine get so bad I fall down. Hiker

Hi Luke, Well, you know we have similar symptoms. My mycolonus is ridiculously bad right now. I am jerking ALL THE TIME.
I jerk when I am relaxing, I jerk when I hear loud noise, I jerk when my skin itches, I jerk when I move my mouse or type...that sounded like a Dr. Seuss rhyme. Yikes.
Anyway, I seem to jerk more when I am tired, cold or dehydrated. I need to go back to the neuro...this is ridiculous.

The jerks are worse when I'm trying to fall asleep or they will wake me up, but can happen during the daytime, too. The twitches are all the time. Twitching gets worse when I am cold.

Here are my myoclonus triggers:
loud noises (esp. metallic noises) relaxing (esp. as I go to sleep) light, feathery touch looking out of the corner of my eye (this one is weird) sex (kinda goes with the touch sensitivity) repetitive movements herxing makes myoclonus worse
After a year and a half of treatment, I rarely have myoclonus anymore. I used to have full body jerks for hours at a time so I have come a long way.
I still take Zonegran to control it so I don't know what I would be like off it. I hope to cut the dosage down in a month or two to see how my body handles things on its own.
Check out www.wemove.org if you haven't already. It's a great resource.
Take care, Ms. Myo

My myoclonus seems to be transforming into parkinsons' type tremors as well.
My triggers include:
Exercise - I stopped cardio because it gave me really bad myoclonus. I get little movements when I relax after yoga. Lately, I'm getting much more during yoga, enough to make me have to stop.
Music - my fingers usually tap or move to the beat of music that is playing. I am the daughter of a musician, so music is kind of in my blood.
Fatigue - also lots of caffeine, but that might be the fatigue cause
Early morning - I'm recently getting large jerks in my body between when I press the snooze button and actually waking up, which can be a good long period
I also get it at other times. When I'm sitting in class. When I'm driving and stopped at a light. When I'm nervous.
There also seems to be some unconscious control. When I'm driving, I only have large jerks when I'm stopped at lights. I don't have anything noticeable when I'm on dates. Phew!
