1. Being fat - well sort of fat 2. Being bad tempered 3. Forgetting why I walked into a room 4. Not being able to eat like a normal person 5. Spending $300 a month on supplements and alternative medicine. 6. Not being believed - Lyme disease is the invisible illness in Canada - just 33 cases in 2004 didn't ya know 7. Gritty teeth 8. Blood shot eyes 9. Swollen left ankle 10. Not being able to eat my favorite curry at my favorite Thai restaurant because I am allergic to something in the ingredients and can't figure it out.

10 superficial reasons I LOVE having lyme disease:
1.losing weight-must be food allergies
2.having an excuse for bad temper-lyme rage
3.reason for forgetfulness-rather have lyme than alzheimers
4.nobody eats like a normal person in our house anyway.
5.learning about healthy supplements and alternative medicines I should be taking anyway.
6.the relief of knowing when finally diagnosed
7.I like my dentist.
8.days off because blood shot eyes could be pink eye-a no no at work.
9.I have an official Bathroom Access Pass for IC
10.I don't like curry anyway-but I do like Pad Thai.

1. Cannot spell borrelia burgdorferi correctly.
2. Cannot spell much of anything else correctly anymore either.
3. Have scattered to-do lists, in all different sizes, in every room. None are completed.
4. Just when I think I've gotten my medications and protocol all set up and running smoothly, I start herxing and screw it all up.
5. Dislike smelling like apple cider vinegar.
6. Have learned to live without toast, mushrooms, bananas, chocolate and caffine.
7. Happy if my sheets are clean, don't worry if the bed didn't get made.
8. My life seems to revolve around the medical field, doctor appointments, the latest meds and supplements, all the aches and pains in the behind...and I'm not even my grandmother yet.
9. Have to wear a huge-brimmed hat or sunglasses indoors when shopping.
10. Trying to explain lyme disease and my health care to my non-lyme-speaking doctors.

1)Paper thin
2)waking up feeling great and within moments all symtoms back again.
3) isolated 4) knowing more about lyme then i do about my own profession (accounting)
5)going out to eat is a strugle
6) IC 7) living without soft pretzels, thai/chinese food
8) not having a real summer
9) loosing my job
10) No one understands

1. Can't eat chocolate 2. Can't drink margeritas 3. Can't eat donuts anymore 4. Can't shop in the mall for hours 5. Can't go hiking in the woods 6. Don't care about sex anymore 7. Can't spend extra money on frivilous things 8. Can't buy new furniture because of the outgassing 9. Can't go run 5 miles 10. Hate bugs now
