Has anyone seen or heard of Bartonella scars on other parts of the body such as the neck or face? I've seen research and photos mentioning the torso, waist, hips, and legs but that's it.

My LLMD was puzzled when I asked him and said he'd only seen scars on the waist and hips.

Hi Foggy,

Well, tell your doctor you know someone who has 2 slashes across their jaw from bart. Also bart can cause lesions that look like shingles, and can also be found on the scalp.

I found info several months ago, that bart is the bacteria that causes shingles.

I also had small cuts/slashes on my fingers that kept opening and bleeding untill I got infection under control.

Hope this helps answer your question.

Isn't shingles caused by Herpes Zoster, the virus that causes Chicken Pox? I have never heard of it being related to Bart.

Can you post where you heard about Shingles/Bart?

Thanks,
Jill

I've seen photos (look just like my boys) with those stripes under the arms as well as around the abdomen/side/back areas at the waist:

Back of knees another place according to these pics:

Thanks, gael, Tabby, and Jill. My LLM said he'll look into it and hoped they would improve with abx

Bartonella was my major infection. I still have lesions over the arms, five years after cure. They are white/lighter than the rest of the skin. The bugs did move in the connective tissue! That is their favorite terrain. My arms in the early stages (before I met Dr. K.) used to burn like fire -- I would cry during every IV they put into these arms - it was murder.
Hope none of you have to go through that.

Take care.

Thank you for this Bartonella post. My daughter's major infection, and she is covered with these things. Mostly on abdomen, hips, legs. There are newer stripes on the back of the knees just like you said.

She is hoping this go away...any chance?
