Has anyone ever had this severe a reaction to bart herx? Yesterday, I was flung into chair, and flipped onto floor. It felt like someone actually pushed me.
Today, I went out on balcony to get some air, and I was almost thrown off 24th floor! Needless to say, it will be a while before I go out there again.
It seems the more I try to kill the bart, the madder it gets. I know some people get vertigo from this, but this is nuts.
I am also experiencing drenching head sweats from trying to battle with the babesia.I am thinking of putting some weights in my shoes. Feel free to let this give you a

Sounds like treating the babs and bart at the same time might be just too much.
There is no way hubby could stand to be treated for both of these at the same time -- even had to take 3 months for normal 1 month dose of IV Primaxin for Lyme -- I just wasn't going to give him more than 6 mg of IV Ativan daily for seizure-like episodes.
Sounds to me like your body is rebelling and telling you not to overdo.
The 24th floor huh -- surprised elevators don't throw you for a loop as well! Finally came to the conclusion that it was the babs that caused hubby and elevators to not get along. Riding in cars is also much more of a problem when his babs is acting up.

Gael: I haven't called because I have been really down and under lately. My Gp started me with physical therapy to try to keep me functional. Needless to say, it has been very difficult, particularly with pool therapy.
I am so sorry that you are having a really rough time right now. Please be careful. I will call you to check in. Anything I can do to help?

Hi Bea,
You sound like a wonderful caretaker!. I hope your hubby knows how lucky he is to have you. I used to have a problem in elevators when I was much sicker.
I used to carry a bannana or something with me in the elevator, because I always felt like I was going to pass out. What kind of symptoms does your husband experience with elevators?
I am not taking antibiotics anymore, just some very strong herbs. Tonight my hair and scalp sting and my hair is actually standing up from the roots.
I also get big lumps on my head when I take herbs. My guess is the bacteria is trying to get out but can't. Ever heard of this? I was misdiagnosed for 23 yrs, and I am sure I have a lot of bacteria etc. to get rid of.
As far as herxing too quickly, I guess I am really trying to hit this hard, but I actually don't feel too bad. Or maybe I am just used to living with it.
I guess like many others, I am afraid to let this get the better of me.
How long has your hubby been sick? Sounds like he got hit really hard too.

Not to worry. I am just practicing for my new circus act. I am sorry you are having such a difficult time.
I think everyone should reckognize that we are all going through a rough time with this horrific disease, and we can't always stay in touch.

Yes, that does sound familiar. I went through two six-week bart herxes. So far, so good, but there's an extra stash of rifampin hidden away at home, just in case.

Funny that you're talking about this, Gael. The other night, I was starting down the stairs and everything started to spin.
I actually had to sit down to steady myself.
I'm taking rifampin for Bart, too. Also using essential oils. Bart does kick hard!

Thank goodness you posted this. I've been telling my LLMD and internist - and family - about feeling like I'm being punched in the back, in the abdomen, but from the inside. I've developed the myclonic jerks that are so hard that I get pushed standing up, in my bed, whatever.
Mine did not start with Bart treatment, although a few months into it, I did start Bart treatment and now have some new symptoms.
Thanks to your warning, I'm staying away from all balconies!!

I developed trouble with elevators, cars, boats, altitude and heights. They all made me dizzy and nauseaous. I think it was the babs. I'm much better after lyme and babs treatment.
Hang in there, but don't overdo too much. I know it's difficult to figure it all out.
