Hey everyone. I just came back from the doctor and got blood drawn for igeneX. woo hoo! sending it out tomorrow.
my question is, when the results come in, my doctor gets them right? and how do they read? do they tell you whether each band is pos, neg or inconclusive?
thanks, michelle

im glad that you got tested thru igenex.
yes your dr will get the results...it usually takes about 3 weeks. you can call Igenex around that time to see if they faxed them to your dr.
They will report all bands...they will show -, +, and IND(which means they saw something but not enough to make it a positive)
good luck

Yes, have them write on the lab slip you want them FAXED to your MD and a paper copy mailed by snail mail. SOMEONE? lost mine for 4.5 wks.
Only your PCP/LLMD will receive the copies NOT the patient ever. Have MD give you 2 copies or make them yourself so ONE IS FILED and the other is by your pc so you can learn the meanings of EACH number shown POSITIVE. Good luck.
