I started doxy a week ago today-made myself almost barf this morning taking it on an empty stomach - won't make that mistake again.
Has anyone had experience with vision getting worse during treatment? Granted I'm missing a couple of hours of sleep, but my ability to focus on anything close up with out my glasses seems to have deteriorated overnight.
I'm wondering if that's related to doxy, herx, or not related at all. It's very aggravating I can't even focus on the keyboard without glasses, very blurry. TIA for any insight.

I have had significant eye/ visual problems. My advice is to see a neuro opthamologist to work up all the visual pathway to see exactly what is going on with your eyes.

My vision started getting worse with Lyme, but before I was diagnosed correctly. It actually pulses/moves when I look at patterned objects.
On treatment, sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse. But I also go through phases where it's very hard to read up close at my computer -gets pretty blurry, so I sometimes have to use reading glasses.
For me, I think it's more the Lyme than the herx, but I'm not sure. But again, you noticed it once you began Doxy so it could be more of a herx in your situation.
My LLMD thought it had more to do with the toxins in my brain than the actual eye, but who knows because I'm getting physical issues in my eyes, too.
I like the idea of finding a neuro opthalmologist but I have no idea if there is one around me - I will check it out.

Same Here! I've noticed since I started taking all the high dose abx that I need my reading glasses way more. Needed stronger reading glasses last month at routine eye exam.
