Jay,
It sound delicious, yuck!

Please be careful.

Does it make your ears ring? I once toook Leg-a-trin (OTC quinine tablets) or something the doc told me to take for muscle spasms and the roaring in my head was so loud I only took it that one time.

I couldn't sleep with all that noise!

I like tonic water. Is that what it tastes like?

Watch out for constipation though... [Smile]

Iam glad you can tolerate quinine, but please be careful with regulating your dosage and don't take more than you need or is safe. Quinine made me stop breathing.

There was a time when Michael J Fox was drinking tonic water and taking quinine. I wished I had videotapes the interview. Then the ducks got ahold of him and now he is much better. No brain left, but no shaking either.

I have been a fan of tonic water/quinine for years. The best quinine is from Africa. The leg cramps stuff is wimpy. The stuff from Raintree is not from the correct tree, and not as effective.

The best quinine comes from trees with moss growing on them, if I remember correctly. However anything natural like quinine can vary in potentency. As a result people have had serious side effects from overdoses.

777; we aren't kidding...a lot of folks like the taste of tonic water. personally I don't care for sugar or sweet drinks at all. sour, bitter, hot, skunky, whatever, but not that sickening sweet sugar kool aid taste. yuk.

Hi All

Well I figured out what the
Quinine tea tastes like--

You know your uncle Larry who
smokes those big cheap cigars--

Well the old ash tray he has down
in the basement game room that
has not been emptyed in 3 years--

If you got the crud layer -
that has aged at least 17 months
and then distilled it down to
make a thick juicie gooo --

I think that would taste perty
close to the Quinine tea--MMMMM

Now mind you I am not saying it
tasts bad- but like Larrys ash tray-

Now on to the important stuff--

I feel Perty Good -Clean-

I was having some babs relaps-
Now it has stopped and I have
Zero babs symptoms--AAAhhhh

I have been drinking the tea for
about a week and the only bad side
effects so far has been the Acid stomic
that lasts about 4 hours after I
down a dose--ouch--

I am making 2 batches of tea a day-
4 tsp quinine powder to 5 cups of
water then brought to a boil and
simmered about 20 minutes--each batch

I let cool and then drink most
of that batch-- makes about 3 cups-

Next week I am going to experiment
and make maybe a Quinine Smoothie
or a Quinine Bunt cake --Jay--

Ps Tonic Water tastes Really Good
compaired to the tea-
