I have goosebumps on my skin that never go away. It really looks bad, they aren't painful, they were just on my upper legs and now they are on my arms.

does anyone know what this is or if there is anything I can take to help it?

Thanks for your thoughts

Keratosis Pilaris is the dermatological name for the goosepumps type of bumps on skin.

I've had these on my upper arms for decades, long before Lyme.

It is very common - I've read that up to half the population has it. I know many non-Lyme people who have it.

I don't know why yours would have gotten worse, so you'd have to ask your LLMD if having Lyme can increase your susceptibility to it, or if this is Keratosis Pilaris. It seems that people who are prone to eczema, asthma or hayfever may be more prone to this kind of dermatological condition.

What I've read for years (long before Lyme) is to exfoliate the area, using a glycoloic acid or alpha hydroxy acid lotion, or a exfoliating cream or loofah, then moisturize.

Hi Lady

Babs can cause this type of rash--
Most dont hert but some bumps can have a
nerve reaction where if one bump
is scratched --you can feel it on
another place on your body--

The bumps also seem to gather over
joints that the babs is attacking
at the moment--

After I started babs treatment my
bumps slowly went away-(about 4 months)

Hope this helps --Jay--
