Does anyone know. So far its the only test i am positive for HGE at 1:160 IGG.

Yes, minocycline or doxycyline target ehrlichiosis.
From Dr. B's Treatment guidelines, Sept 2005 -
Standard treatment consists of Doxycycline, 200 mg daily for two to four weeks. Higher doses, parenteral therapy, and longer treatment durations may be needed based on the duration and severity of illness, and whether immune defects or extreme age is present.
However, there are reports of treatment failure even when higher doses and long duration treatment with doxycycline is given. In such cases, consideration may be given for adding rifampin, 600 mg daily, to the regimen.

Rifampin also hits erhlichia too. Mine dropped like a rock when I was on it for 4 weeks. I still test energenically for erhlichia but will treat it again with rifampin.

It's usually Doxycycline 400-600 mg from everything I have been told. :-) Possibly IV for bad Ehrlichia.
