Hi- besides the "normal" yeast infection I have, I also have other weird symptoms.. A lot of itching on legs with a rash, itching/scaling on the palm of one hand, craving for carbs/sweets that I haven't had in months, and generally being a lot more hungry than I have been. A lot of heartburn/ acidy throat feeling. Also, the other day everything I ate or drank burned the inside of my mouth, sometimes I feel bloated/puffy...
Are these symptoms of yeast, and if so, should I start really sticking to the yeast-free diet? ( Or are they yet more new weird lyme symptoms?)
Thanks
Natalie

Hi Nat

Sounds like yeast to me too--
Candida can make you very sick-
You do not want to go there--

No Carb diet is Super Important--
Do it-

Read a book titled -Yeast Connection-

Dido on the last 2 posts.

Yeast can mimic alot of lyme symptoms and make you very sick on its own. Specailly if it gets systemic/upper/lower GI.

A strick anti-yeast diet is essential and also to talk to you doc about getting on some anti-fungals.

But again you can't live on anti-fungals and say screw the diet, because yeast can, over time , become resistant to them.

Take care and read the links carefully that lymetoo provided [Smile]

You might also consider mold and food allergies.

Many folks thought I had candida problems due to the rashes on hands and around my eyes - my eye area got puffy, red, scaley and itchy.

I went to an immunologist and mold expert and tested very allergic to the mold that is used to culture tamari, miso and tempeh - foods which some folks consider probiotic. I'm also allergic to wheat and corn. Avoiding foods with a lot of mold (this doc gave me a list and they're not what you'd guess) and going on a rotation diet has helped me tremendously. I no longer get the eye area rashes although my right hand lets me know when I've eaten too much fruit or sugar.

BTW, I believe that LD made my gut leaky causing me to become allergic to foods I ate often. (Loose stools were a big symptom prior to my dx with LD.) Add abx for over a year and my gut got pretty permeable. Also, the immunologist considered it significant of not being a yeast infection that I wasn't having vaginal symptoms.

My $0.02.

Tutu, does Treepatrol have YOUR links shown here in his NEWBIE LINKS? If not, would you copy them to his newbie links, and ask that he add next time he revises his lengthy web list? THANKS [Big Grin]

I clcked on them; never read info before ... very educational! Thanks for posting them.

Yeast is terribly insidious. I had o clue how infiltrated I was with yeast and heavy metals until I found my new Dr/alternative practitioner...

My core problem is severe heavy metal and candida infiltration in my Bone Marrow which has impaired my entire system and is allowing these chronic infections to remain an ongoing problem... I alsi have a large amount of intestinal parasites...

It is a slow slow process of reversal, but honestly I had no clue how much of the crux of my issues were related in this way....

In my New Dr's practive he has found 100% of the population to be infected to some degree with Candida, so it would make sense that we as users of long term abx would have a big problem in that dept.
