good evening all, im up to 200mg am then pm doxy.Do any of you pulse in a routine like this with flagyl ?My kind and gentle GP is helping me out so we are enquireing as to how this may be helping to folks.IF so, whats your doseing schedule and dosage you are taking.WE are wanting to cyst bust now as im tolerating the doxy now Thanks For The Help From You All

I am using Tinidazole, which is said to have less side effects than Flagyl, but as effective as Flagyl.

Agreed on the Tinidazole. A bit more expensive, but well worth it...flagyl caused neuropathy for me.
Pulsing on Tinidazole for me is 500 mg BID, 2-3 days per week. May want to ramp up and do 500 mg BID one day a week (if you work do it on a weekend to see if it causes a herx). Then you can work you way up. Watch closely for any increased neuropain, parathesias, etc. If you feel any of this STOP IMMEDIATELY and consult your doc. Otherwise you may be left with permanent damage...I am still suffering from what I hope to recover from.
Tinidazole can cause the same peripheral neuropathy as flagyl, just seems to be better tolerated, but may be just because it is newer and there is less data on it.
