Hello,

Did you start slow with the Biaxin/Plaq routine?

I took the full dose at once and it was too much for me. Did you take a half pill of each for awhile and work your way up to the full dose over a month or so?

How did it work for you?

Thanks,

I started with it a year ago, one each morning and night. Added doxy for the winter and have just gone off doxy to larger dose of biaxin/plaq. I have had no noticable side effects.

Rob,

I always cut back on doseage when the full dose slams me. Take it slow and work your way up and your body will tolerate it.

I am currently taking the same meds you are and I can tolerate full dose but I have worked with others such as flagyl which I had to back off.

Good luck

Hi Rob- I've posted a few replies to this issue. I had to ramp up on the plaquenil and still don't take the full dose but I do think it's working. The plaquenil can cause anxiety, nightmares, sleeplessness, head pressure just to name a few but I got past this by creeping up my dose slowly. You may also need to ramp up on the Biaxin. I didn't need to but I'm sure some folks do. Take it slow. It took me 4 weeks to get to 300 mgs of plaq ; 1000 mgs of biaxin a day. That is where I'm at now and will stay there for a while.
