Hmm, I had a western blot done & here is what my doc said, "It came back negative, but that doesn't mean anything." She then proceeded to tell me that she doesn't feel qualified to deal with my symptoms!! Isn't that their job?! I went to a chiro friend & through muscle testing he didn't detect LD, I can't say I'm sold on muscle testing, as much as I'd like to believe it. My upper back & shoulders have a sunburned sensation, even though they are not sunburned, what is wrong with me????? Last night, in the middle of the night, my shins felt hot, not to the touch, just hot inside. I ordered a wb through IGENEX & am searching for a LLMD, who will hopefully either diagnose LD or rule it out (only by realizing it's something else I suppose.) This is SOOO frustrating!

Forgot to say the wb was through Quest Posted by luvs2ride (Member # 8090) on :
I don't know if Lyme disease is ever ruled out.
It is so difficult to get a positive test that LLMD's have to go on clinical signs and the clinical signs mimic other illnesses.
I've often wondered myself how we can know if we are chasing lyme when we should not be.

NOt being a Dr, I am not qualified but I will offer my 2 cents..
It could still by lyme and/or co-infections. It could be some other biological cause yet undetermined.
It could be another neuro toxin such as systemic mold infection. I think all neurotoxins have similiar symptoms.
Check out chronicneurotoxins.com..Later..I'm going to CT. Good luck..lymemomtooo

Get a full panel for Lyme and coinfections done through IGeneX.
May also want to consider reading the book "Mold Warriors" as mold can also cause many of the same symptoms.
