Gee, a lot of interest when there are rallies planned. Who do you suppose all these guests are?

Yes, I know this belongs in general, but medical is where the snoops congregate.

Not talking to any legitimate guests here, just the illegitimate ones. How do you people live with yourselves? Who needs terrorists when there are worthless, criminal incompetents in major institutions in this country?

Lou, I agree. The other day I checked and their were 20 more guests than the 30-37 members logged on in medical!

Well It wasn't me because I was packing for you know what to go you know where. SHHHHH don't let any of THEM know. Thanks

PS I bought an umbrella with a duck on the handle-wonder what inspired me to do THAT.

Loon Lymie,
Carol

While this is probably true to some extent, this is also June--right about the time that anyone bitten in Spring could be becoming quite concerned about persisting symptoms. Just something to keep in mind.

Loon Lymie: Ducky umbrella. Perfect! [Big Grin]

There's always a lot of guests.

Alot of people at LymeNet sign out when they leave, so if they pop in just to read for a couple minutes, they'll show up as "guests."

I refer people to LymeNet if they have symptoms that look like Lyme. They would be "just looking," as would anyone who found LymeNet on a search engine.

Heck, I read for seven weeks before I registered.

Yes, there may be people from "the other camp," but maybe some of this is paranoia.

When messages from lymenet are quoted by the other side in published letters to the editor, etc, it is not paranoia to think they are reading here.

My point in posting this thread is to remind people this is a public forum that anyone can read. And to try and shame the trolls (probably a hopeless job.)

Just because you are paranoid, it doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. Or do you have another explanation for what is happening to the two Dr. J's?

Many of the guests are sick people looking for help! This is a public forum and whover wants to look, can look! Hopefully we can help them, and answer their questions. Lou, I think what you are saying can seem pretty harsh considering all the people being bitten and looking for help online, maybe they just want to look at the information and read. Maybe they don't want to participate, but still need the information. The ducks can quack off though, very true! There is no way to tell the difference, but there's no way all the guests are what you say. Don't mean to upset you, but I have to defend the new sick people who are looking here! Welcome guests, come on in and register, we wont bite! :-)

If you read my message, wildcondor, you will see that I was not referring to legitimate guests. I don't think they need to be defended from me.

Maybe you might want to do an archive search for ed mcsweegan, I posted a letter that was published in a newspaper by him, quoting a lymenet post.

I continue to be surprised that even longtime lymies can be so naive. These newbies looking for a doc to treat them are going to find out pretty quickly that something bad is going on with this disease.

The only biting I do is of bad guys.

Lou is right.

Given what we have all been through, it is better to be on the offense than to stick our heads in the sand and be vulnerable to people who have alterior motives.

I am saying that new people do not know what "bad guys" you are talking about and may be put off by your post, just by being a visitor. I said it can be interpreted as harsh. I happen to agree with what you wrote, I just dont want any new people who are sick to feel unwelcome, and that's all. [Smile]
