Anybody here have problems in that area. My tests come back and my TSH is always near the bottom but just " in range ". Also I had TSI antibodies ( graves ) show up ( 92, in a normal range that goes to 125 )but I've been told that indicates a problem since normal people do not produce these antibodies....????

Many lymies have thyroid problems, as well as adrenal and other hormonal issues.
LD appears to be able to affect the HPA axis and influence the endocrine system in a number of ways.

LLMD said that Lyme & Metals can trigger Hashimoto's and elevate one's Thyroid auto antibody.
I tried Thyroid meds to no avail but it was worth ruling out.

Hubby has GRAVE'S DISEASE of the eyes determined when he found out he had OVERACTIVE thyroid. He took a radioactive pill at the hospital to kill something.
He's lost 100 lbs. twice during our marriage. When he was 1st dx, and this past 2 yrs. since I was dx with my diabetes 2.
He's sweating non-stop for NON-ENERGENIC activities. He has ESSENTIAL TREMORS, non-stop shaking of his hands, legs, & feet ... hands are the worst.
I had him tested for lyme; believe he had 1 positive on each test. If he were positive, he wouldn't take meds ... not my hubby. It bothers him he has to take his synthroid pill.
He just had his Tsh tested again....changed dosage AGAIN. He's gone from over active to UNDER active, HASHIMOTOs; SAME AS ME! I just learned that thru my total body testing.

I had Hashimoto's in 1986 after the birth of my first child. Basically thyroid function stopped. TSH way above normal. Thyroid replacement hormone helped tremendously until lyme.
Since lyme my Hashimoto's antibodies have returned. I have an endocrinologist who is baffled by this oddity. Hashimotos is an auto immune process, so what has triggered the antibodies against the thyroid gland again? My guess is lyme.
Levoxyl has done it's job and my level of medication doesn't alter often. So, meds still roughly the same, antibodies up, thyroid under attack from my body...We shall see how this progresses.
My doctor thinks it's lyme related without doubt.
I also have a 17 year old son with Bartonella and lyme who suddenly has low thyroid function, but no Hashimoto's symptoms. Hashimoto's tends to run in families, but he shows no sign of it other than low thyroid production. He too is on levoxyl and is doing well.
The docs attribute his to lyme as it began when the lyme did in an otherwise strapping young man.
