How come, either after a bite or once dx'd, everyone doesn't just take everything to kill all of the possible co-infections?

Good question. Many doctors will do this. Ehrlichia and Borrelia tend to respond to some of the same things like doxycycline, but bartonella and babesia often need other drugs. It is my opinion that testing and treatment of coinfections is an absolute must. I do not believe that anyone "tested negative for all coinfections". Well, I might believe they tested negatively, but I would contend the tests are not accurate and often will reveal coinfections months or years down the road.

Personally, I think the fewer drugs I put into my body the better. I have no symptoms of babesia and so have no desire to treat it.

Some of the drugs can be harsh on the body and that is why I believe some doctors will not treat for co-infections if there is no evidence of them. By evidence I mean not just a lab test, but clinical symptoms. Just my opinion.
