I went up to a higher dose of Cipro and ive felt really bad every since. I have all these random twitches that i barely got before..

my left cheek...my mouth...my legs. they come and go.

my left bicep hurts and left knee hurt.

I had some numbness in my fingers yesterday morning too.

I was feeling so well on it and now im not.

could this be yeast?

Looked up Candida - some the yeast symptoms sound like lyme symptoms but they don't mention twitching as one of them.

-------
Classic symptoms can hit suddenly or sneak up on one.

Gastrointestinal: indigestion, gas, bloating, inflammation, pain, diarrhea, constipation, heartburn, bad breath, dry mouth, coating on tongue, thrush.

Somatic and Allergic: numbness, burning or tingling; painful, swollen, stiff joints; muscle aches and tension, nasal congestion, head tension, headaches, blurred vision, tinnitis, shortness of breath, chest pains, weight loss dizziness, sinusitis, chemical sensitivity.

Mental/Emotional: depression, mental confusion, insomnia, nervousness, anxiety, disorientation, impaired decision making, low energy, hyperactivity, agitation.

Skin: white fungal skin patches like dandruff, acne, athlete's foot, anal itch, diaper rash, psoriasis, dermatitis, impetigo, finger and toenail inflammation.

Sexual: vaginitis, discharge, itch, bladder infection, menstrual irregularities, pain, cramps, lowered libido, infertility, impotency, prostate problems.

Urinary: Frequent urination, burning and desire to urinate, fluid retention, edema.

I've recently had some twitching myself but it was after a decrease in Cipro, so I'm not sure if it's related or not. Never had that symptom until about two months or so ago.

thanks cave and mo,

i didnt know that yeast could come on suddenly. that is how mine happend and i have many of the symptoms.

the sensitivity to light i had though isnt on the list.

i was eating tons of sugar and had just finished a 2nd round of cephzyl for bronchitis

its so sad i handled cipro for a month a few years ago...now i cant go more then a week.

I think the twitching is a good sign if in response to antibiotics. It represents a herxheimer.

Another RX for Cipro.

My elbow still isn't healed from the last round in March. I have felt like total **** since.

I herxed so bad but my ll says were killing bugs so. I am holding on for dear life. Hope I don't need to have my mom come to take care of the kids like last time. And we have a Dr J appt this month. OUCH!

I'll be thinking about you Cipro Buddy!

I found Cipro a real trial. I finished the course, but I felt really awful. I think it was just too strong for me.........

Hey Scorp... should i start a cipro buddies post [Razz]

this stuff is strong...i was doing good on low dose...but wow went up for just one day and whamo.
im on the cipr xr so i think that has something to do with it staying in my body a bit longer.

i stopped for a few days all my symptoms have flared...old ones that were gone for months are back. ugh. and i think yeast is back too.

may the force be with us.

Twitching/fasciculations more likely to be a herx. Ciprio cannot cause neurologic deficits.
