On another forum someone claims to be doing i.v. garlic oil. However, this is just one of many things she's doing.
Has anyone ever did this or heard of this? If your did this, what can you say about it? Did you do this alone, or concurrently with other things, such as "chasing" the i.v. garlic oil with an i.v. bag of something else? Did you get an i.v. bag of something else, just prior to the i.v. garlic oil? An i.v. bag of something, both before and after the i.v. garlic oil?
thanx for any input in the way of experience, leads, links, authors, titles, practioners who do this, etc.

It's not garlic oil per say. It's allitridi, a metabolite of garlic used intravenously in China for many years. It is a very good antifungal according to mycologists in Australia and China, and not a bad antibacterial, although it is unlikely to affect lyme. However if you have fungal and mold issues it can be very effective, supposedly. Most of you can take antifungals, though.

i kind of suspected it wasn't straight garlic oil, but didn't know exactly what modified form(s) were used.
altridii is a familar name, reminding me that its listed on the bottle of my TCM doc whose regimen you know of.
do you know which, if any classe(s) of viruses this might have activity against?

PQ, I don't think Dr. Z's (chinese doc) allitridi is the same as the stuff I have, or that a few docs are using. Allitridi in vials is available widely in China, and Dr Z suggests oral use. The vials I have look different (larger) and they took some getting to get. They are for IV use.
I don't know that its active against viruses. Maybe, but it is in the main used as an antifungal, and it is a moderately good antibacterial (not as good as allicin; which however is highly unstable.) I investigated it and plan to use it at some point because of my serious ongoing fungal issues and my resistance to/intolerance of the usual antifungals (lamisil caused horrible liver pain, and diflucan isn't well tolerated either). This *is* well tolerated, but imo opinion it is only if you have a severe fungal/mold issue.

Oxy--thanks for your insight into this.
c.1998-99,when largely ignorant about tbds, a phone query to a nyc alt. doc on the efficacy of oral garlic(meaning allicin) preps. for Bb elicited an offer to do this i.v.; so, he must've meant the metabolite(s) you mention--alltridi, or similar prep. i declined at the time. the recent post on another forum again brought this to mind.
