Do any of you get little cyst like balls under the surface of your skin?

I was rubbing my tummy when I was laying down last evening, and felt these cyst like balls. DH felt them too and thought they were wierd.

They didn't feel like regular adapost tissue (nice word for fat) but round. I also felt some on my leg.

They don't hurt. So I thought maybe they were the Cyst form of the Lyme bacteria.

Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

Love, Light, & Healing,
Yemaya

Cyst forms of Lyme are microscopic in size. Cysts can be caused bt lyme and bartonella.

good info tree. I agree, these are not the Cyst forms of Lyme, but certainly can be caused by Lyme.

However, it is theoretically possible to get a biopsy and find through microscopy that your cyst includes within some cystic forms of Lyme, but thats about the most legitamate way I can concieve that these cysts you are referring to could be related to cyst forms of Borrelia Burgdorferri

Hi Yemaya,

I had a ton of those cysts you describe under the surface of my skin. They were just about the last symptoms of the illness to go away as I got better. The other lingering symptom was the burning itch, that and the cysts you describe slowly disappeared together.

I asked my LLMD about what they were. He said they are associated with Fibromyalgia. That he seen them in Lyme patients fairly often.

He just couldn't think of the name. Since Fibro and Lyme are sometimes connected or mistaken for each other. That sounds about right.

Whats your opinions?

Maybe you should get one biopsied and also ask if some of the tissue sample could be cultured?

Are they soft or hard?

My doctor biopsied one of the soft ones, and it turned out to be a lipoma (benign fatty tumor).

I was told the hard ones are called indural nodulations, and are caused by fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia is caused by Lyme. Fibromyalgia is a set of symptoms, not a disease.

i have various of these balls in my tummy, under the skin, 0.5 - 1 cm each; various of them inter muscle; i have fear of make a biopsy, because if is a parasite, nematode larve, is dangerous open the cyst

I had a lipoma removed from my stomach area BEFORE I was diagnosed with lyme. Doc biopsied it and said it was "benign". I now have them all over my forehead and side of my skull.
