Hi- My LLMD has not treated me for coinfects although I think I must have them. My twitching does not go away and when I whenever I go off abx for a few days I get heel pain. So my question is would lyme abx (tinidazole and zithromax, and another time, Ceftin) keep bart at bay but not heal it? I need to heal the heel! tee hee - sorry- Thanks!

My heel pain started near the end of my Bart treatment (I had to go off Bart treatment early due to reaction to medications).
Heel pain is very common with Lyme according to a speech given by one of the top ILADS doctors, confirmed by my LLMD, and what I've heard from other Lyme patients.
My heel pain then spread into sore soles. Sore soles is more a sign of Bartonella.
I've been dealing with all this and Achilles tendon pain for months. I've had to buy those gel inserts and orthotics from the drug store, wear athletic shoes all the time, etc.
Anyway, the heel pain could be Lyme itself. But the soles, which could affect the heels, could be Bart.

My PT gave me a long rubber band to help strectch the heels in the am. whether Bart or Plantar Fascitis, it works quite well.
I did notice an increase while on Rifamp.
