Its been 3 or four months since i have posted here, after going undiagnoised for about 11 months with lyme babesia bartonella and rickettsia, and now having recieved 10 months off antibiotics, over a period of a year, been 5 months continious now, i am still sick, not as sick as i once was, but not to the point where i can stand living with myself yet.about thirty 30 percent, better but i was dieing before.
I just started mepron zith along with artemisnin, for babs and have been herxing through the roof just like i do with every other drug.
The thing is i am 19 and feel like i am loosing my life to this disease after two years of being really sick, i am curious if being young is going to help me recover or if i have a chronic condition, i have been on many antibiotics, including biaxin, ceftin, flagyl, two months, tinindizole two months, levaquin 6 weeks, zithrowmax 3 months, and now starting mepron alo as i mentioned before rochephin 3 months, 2 grams per day. I guess i am loosing hope, i also take lots of supplements and eat good.
Oh and i was going to ask will zithrowmax orals and mepron treat the lyme along with the babs?

So Sorry you're here and not feeling well...
the mepron/zith should be the right regimen for babesia erradication.
The other things you mention sound appropriate.
Your age MAY be a factor in your recovery...
NO ONE really knows for sure.
Wish I had better news for you......zman

Hi, stuck...
I just wanted to say welcome back. Don't really have an answer to your question, though.
I can't imagine your age wouldn't be in your favor, in terms of treatment, but I also guess there are a lot of variables.
I just figure I'm going to beat this disease no matter what, and I keep fighting. And fighting. And so far, I am making slow, steady progress.
My LLMD said attitude could really be powerful in the healing process.
As Tony said, it seems like people know very little when it comes to Lyme. We all just have to do the best we can and try to reach out and help others along the way.

Hi Stuck! Welcome back! Maybe it would help keep up your spirits if you hung out here more? Just an idea! We'd love to have you!
I think age CAN BE a factor. The younger the better! Usually the young have better immune systems.
I had Lyme for longer than your age and I was able to beat it. YOU CAN TOO!
How's your diet with regard to yeast? carbs? sugar? If you have candida clouding the picture it will be harder to get well.
"Successful control and elminiation of a Candida Albicans overgrowth requires a multifaceted program as described below. Failure to follow ALL the steps simultaneously will result in slow progress and will lengthen healing time significantly. The program should be tailored to the individual and must balance the need to eliminate the Candida and deprive it of its food source while insuring proper nutrition for the individual."
Five Steps to Candida Elimination:
1. You must starve it into submission by eliminating its food source.
2. You must kill it with anti-fungal herbs and supplements. [e.g....garlic, onion, caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco capsules or tea, clove, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, tea tree oil, Echinacea, Goldenseal, black walnut, MSM, barberry root, uva ursi, neem leaf, biotin]
3. You must reestablish the proper balance and quantity of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract. [...multi-strain lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus capsules with FOS should be taken between meals to maximize repopulation of the digestive tract by beneficial bacteria.]
4. You must reestablish proper levels of all B vitamins (yeast free) and utilize other immune enhancing supplements to boost immune system function. [e.g ... B complex vitamins (yeast free), biotin, beta 1-3 glucan, colostrum, maitake mushroom, vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium]
5. You must cleanse and heal the digestive tract to promote proper elimination of toxins and Candida and assimilation of nutrients. [e.g...chlorophyll, MSM, omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seed and salmon oils, GLA found in borage, evening primrose and black currant oils. Pantothenic acid, digestive enzymes between meals]
