Hey! I know we have folks here from South Carolina.
Please see Mimi's post here.
She is in urgent need of source of IV abx as insurance changes have made them unaffordable and she just got her line installed?
Can anyone shed light here?

Char, I do not know what side of SC she is in, but maybe a call to Dr. C's office (Mo), or someone with the NatCapLyme in DC has a southern Va source, or perhaps a call to one of their Southern VA llmd's offices for resources. Or, a call/email to NCLDF, or any regional support group? (not everyone visits lymenet)
And this insurance stuff is becoming a sewer....between Melanie's 30 day post cut-off notice, and this, it seems also a call to a lawyer might be helpful. If they pay for the picc line, promise to pay, then pull out the rug suddenly..........does not seem right to abandon without prior notice.

Mimi is near Ashville NC if this will help. She is in the upstate in SC right on the boarder of NC. But at this point any company I think can ship overnight the IV ABX.
I have been googleing pharms on line all morning for IV clinda-its been a bust.
I am hoping someone will know of a home infusion company for her that will, with an RX from dr.J she can get her med that will except BCBS.

What about a call to manufacturer or regional rep? Are there special discounts for financial circumstances? N.

Mimi-
I thought you were in SC.
If you are in NC, Optioncare should be able to help!
I thought I gave you their number? If you need it write back.

Char and Dana thank you both so much. I am in SC I have BCBS of SC. I live in the upstate. Dana and I were talking about what NC places were close to me and Asheville and Charlotte are the 2 closest big NC areas. I am still looking. I called the QMEDRX I am waiting for Angie to call me from Dr. J's. It would help if I could find a SC place because BCBS will pay 90 to 100% of the meds. Again thank you both so much I don't know how I would make it wothout you all. Thank you mimi

Hi mimi
Check your pm's Posted by lou (Member # 81) on :
How about checking the phone book and the internet yellow pages for infusion companies in SC? There have got to be some. Then call and ask if they bill directly. Most will.

I think I misread, had a brain fart. The co. that sent my abx was in Columbia and it is called Critical Care Systems and the nurse came from Interim Healthcare. Critical Care has there own delivery drivers that deliver throughout the state. They do send fedex too.
I hope I answered right this time and you are still welcome to have those supplies if you need them.

Everyone Thank you all so very much I am
blessed to have all of you helping me! Bothrops
I am glad to know you are close by I thought for
awhile that Dana and I were the only Upstate
folks. I appreciate the offer for the supplies I
may take you up on that later I have already
purchased the stand with my meds last week. I
am not taking Levaquin yet. Thank you Char and
Lou and Dana and Bothrops So much along with
everyone that has helped! Please let me know if
I can ever help you all. I have corum(sp) from
Cloumbia coming tomorrow to deliver the meds.
Angie @ Dr. J's helped me find them. I will
have to pay $1300 but it's better than the full
price. I will never forget all of your kindness. mimi
