I just checked www.drugdigest.com and it says that mepron may lessen the effectiveness of zithromax. So, why are they prescribed together for babesia?

Yes, I just read this today too.

I just looked this up and it does say Zithro and Mepron may have an interaction, not known why or how they interact.

Interestingly, though, when I looked up Biaxin and Mepron and Ketek and Mepron there weren't any interactions listed. So it must be something specific to Zithro?

I'd never heard anything about this before I saw this post, though.

Peace and healing,
Annie

You'd never think it would have lowered effectiveness by watching someone herx on zith/mep. I know Doc B states no pineapple juice or CoQ10 while on mepron.
