The past four days, I have awoken with whelps, that itch. The first day, it was the worst. Right inside wrist, inside tops of legs, around waist.
Second day, left wrist, some on hip, inside legs. Third day, back to right wrist, etc. Fourth day, back to left wrist, and few other places.
The odd thing is they disappear after a while. I know it is not something in the bed, because I rest during day, and do not wake up with whelps.
I have typical Lyme story. Elisa test positive 3 times, Western Blot, mostly negative, except band number 41, first time test was done. treated with Biaxin XL last year, but no doctors, including infectious disease doctor will proclaim that I have Lyme.
It is most frustrating because I have new grand child, and have to wear a mask while around her, because can't really say what I have is Lyme. It would be so much easier, if doctors would say "you have Lyme." At least it is not contagious, as bad as it is- I would not pass it to my granddaughter.
I have the floaters in eyes, disfunctional fatigue, aches and pains, nervousness. It is so frustrating.
Any one else had these hives/whelps? At first I thought it was allergy to TIDE DETERGENT, but now I am thinking another Lyme problem.
Please help.

I don't have any info about this specifically, but you should edit the title of the post to read "Welts" - that is what you're referring to - red, itchy raised areas on the skin. "Whelps" are young mammals like puppies, for example. People might be confused by the strange word in the title.

Are you presently taking any type of medication? I recently had a very bad allergic reaction to medication I had been taking for 5 weeks and it kind of sounds like what you are describing.

If you had a positive ELISA then you have Lyme. No doubt in MY non-medical mind.
ELISA's are notorious for showing NEGATIVES, not positives.
