Anyone have armpit swelling with redness and pain. Any ideas what can be done about it? I have found relief for almost all my lyme symptoms except my armpits. My armpits have been swollen since Aug 2004. I am begginning to think I have a virus issue such as CMV or EBV and think I want to get a natural killer cell test. If this test comes back low I was going to try some transfer factors. Anyone have any suggestions or experience with NK cell tests and or transfer factors?

Hi Marvin,
I have had that for a long time, and didn't know what it was. But I do think it has to do with Bartonella. When I told my doctor about some new symtoms I was having like swollen glands under my chin and swollen armpits (both were painful to the touch) He decided to test me for Bart and it was positive. Maybe thats what could be?

I had very bad swollen armpits also, like rocks, I could not sleep on my sides. Besides taking abx the only thing that helped me was detoxing and massaging under my armpit area. I agree with Lisi, I think it can be related to Bartonella.
I hope you find something that helps.

Thanks, for the help. I was tested for Bartonella and it was negative which doesn't mean anything. I need to relook at the symptoms from bartonella. Thanks, Marv

The more I look at this I really do not think it is bartonella due to my 1 and 1/2 year long treatment with antibiotics which should have killed this. I am still thinking it is related to some type of virus such as CMV and or EBV or one of the herpes viruses. Thanks, Marv

I've also been in treatment for over 18 months now and just a few months ago did I receive a positive test for bart and it is the first time I actually started having symptoms of bart.

You might want to look up "hidradenitis suppurativa". It could be that.

Hey, thanks alot to everyone. I will definitely bring up to the doctor to have me tested for Bartonella and to see if he recognizes the Hidradenitis Suppurative. This does sound a lot like what i have. Is there anyone out there that has this also that can shed some light on there symtoms and what treatments they've used? Thanks, Marv

never had this, but try a single or multi-enzyme formulation to help cleave and clear debris, and to promote processing out of the body.
singular enzyme = bromelain
if taking medicines,confer with doc, and other sources about doses.

It could be that your lymphatic system is backed up with debris (infection or die off, toxins). It's one of the main filters of our system and blood.
If you work on moving lymph you should see it change if it is that. I have had this swelling periodically and it always moves with more attention to the lymphatic system and other eliminative pathways.
I imagine there is allot of room for misdiagnosis of this as western medicine tends to ignore the obvious and label things such as this as a syndrome or disease condition, while overlooking the deeper cause. Beware when they say something occurs and they don't know why.
