So it looks like I am getting some IV therapy. After eight months of orals, new doc wants to try this.
I hear others say make sure to take actigall with IV but the side effects look worse than gall bladder surgery!
Anyone one it who can comment?

I take actigall and haven't had any side effects whatsoever -- but then again, I almost never get side effects from anything, so I am atypical in that way --- I was having gallbladder pain before I *started* abx, so was more than happy to try it rather than risk losing an internal organ!

my daughter has been on IV rocephin & actigall for several months now. No side effects.

I was on Actigall for about 4 months. 600mg 2x a day. No side effects. I did it along with IV Rocephin. I wouldn't want to take Rocephin without Actigall.

I took it for a month and had no side effects. I was taking it to thin out bile. I think it is pretty benign.
