For people with mysterious breathing problems, Advair might help.
I just went to a pulmonary doctor with a mysterious cough, after my 100-degree city apartment developed all sorts of high-heat problems like mold. Lyme was NEVER mentioned during our conversation.
The doctor prescribed Advair, an asthma medication, with a dosage of 500/50. The cough disappeared, along with a lot of other breathing and inflammation symptoms. These symptoms do return when I forget to take the Advair.
I'm symptom-free for bartonella and babesia, after having both over five years. I'm also on maintenance drugs for Lyme (omnicef and occasional ketek, and nystatin for yeast), and am 99% symptom-free.
The Advair kicked in and got rid of the breathing problems and cough in 24 hours, so it is definitely working. So far, there have been no Lyme relapse symptoms.
For anyone with lingering breathing problems from Lyme, hope this helps.

Advair didn't work for me. If it doesn't give you relief, try Asmanex; it's the same preventive where you inhale it at the beginning of the day.
It really does help the breathing symptoms that some get from mycoplasma pneumonia and lyme.

Seriously, I tried Pulmicort and it made my sinus problems much worse. Been using Singulair since with no problemo.

Have you thought about trying a salt pipe or a neti pot?.
It seems to have helped some people with breathing problems
For a nautural treatment for my sinus problems I have been using Xclear-nasel spray -with xylitol
Make sure to talk over everything first with your LLMD

And BTW, when I first became disabled six years ago, I was a librarian type. But after two years of waiting patiently for a cure, and spending my retired parents' life savings, it became necessary to admit 1) primadonnas might have a higher survival rate, and 2) when men write like primadonnas, they are frequently called a "genius," not "uppity."

I was put on Advar back in Oct of 03 - 6 days later I had full blown pnenomia- infiltrate in left lung. Fever of 103. They put me on a zpack which took care of the infiltrate but I never was the same - Lyme diagnosis with all co-infections 1 year later. I suspect that my immune system could not handle the steriod in the advar

Isn't that an inhaled steroid? I thought that was a no-no for lymies.
