Hi, I am currently on Ceftin and Minocycline, probiotics, magnesium, calcium, b vitamins, and Vitamin C. I wondered what other supplements are good for lyme? I have tried taking Omega fatty acids but they upset stomache so I eat fish and eat flax meal a couple days a week.
Symptoms (fatigue, headache, brain fog, joint pain) have returned after a few months of reprieve.....thx

Hi, I am researching supplements also, I have a late case of Lyme and am just now on 4 weeks of amoxicillin. I recommend also taking freeze-dried garlic supplements (fresh garlic is great, but hard to eat) and acetyl-l-carnitine, which seems to help with an increased energy level.

This is a thread I started a couple days ago about some supplements an alternative doc just had me start to help control pain. I can't speak for them yet, as I'm only a few days in.
But I have heard a lot about Bromelain before, one of the supplements I added, for reducing inflammation.
You may want to get your amino acid levels tested. I got mine tested through a urine test that required catching urine for 24 hours. My levels are real low and I have seen a huge increase in energy after a few weeks on essential amino acids my doctor chose for my deficiencies.
I also randomly bought a product called Candida Cleanse by Zand. It has a lot of different herbs recommended in fighting yeast. I take it with my probiotics and it's made a difference in my amount of thrush.

Right now I am taking...
CoQ10 (Important) Acetyl L-Carnitine (Important!) Alpha lipoic acid (Important!) SODzyme Complete EFA (Important!) Vitamin B-Complex (Important!) Multivitamin's Zinc (I was deficient) Magnesium (I was deficient, but It's very important!) D-Ribose (REALLY good stuff for energy, pure ATP) Milk thistle (A must have when on antibiotics, helps protect the liver!!!) Vitamin B3 (I was deficient) Vitamin E (I was deficient) Burbur (Good detox)
I will also be taking garlic and collodial silver which might help yeast issues. I have also been recommended to put a few slices of ginger in hot water and drink three time a day, not sure exactly what this does - this it might be good for detox. I will probably be starting Chlorella soon to help remove any metals.

I worked 3 yrs. at pain clinic most patients with FM/CFIDS/Lyme etc.
The 3 most widely used noticing diff. is CoQ10/ Never heard anything bad about Sam-e, gather Cher said got her back on her feet after 3 yr.s in bed. Other Milk Thistle, help protect liver & detox Vit B`s. Need to test find which is best for you 1 by 1 maybe. Those 3 major, plus Sam-e just quite expensive. I am unable to afford would like to give it shot. Kerry
