A herx is when alot of stuff (like lyme spirketes) dies in you - to much for you system to filter out at once - I think of it as becoming toxic.

When this happens your current symptoms could get worse and/or old symptoms could return and/or you can get new symptoms.

So basically when you herx you feel sicker but are actually getting better. I know it sounds a bit odd.
