I agree with the woman in the article........``On the antibiotics, I felt better right away,'' she said. ``I could see the improvement very quickly. The antibiotics do help.''

Proof is in the pudding!

End of discussion.

Why doesn't anyone ask these doctors who advocate short term abx about the slow growing nature of Bb and the math behind why it takes long term abx to get rid of the infection? Also, the cyst form and how it is a protection when Bb is threatened by abx??

Do they think these issues are not real even though they are scientifically proven?? These are all critical to the credibility of why it takes so long to get rid of this infection. I've yet to hear any of these so called "experts" address these issues. In fact, I don't recall these issues even being brought up in any news articles although I'm sure there must be some mention of them in a news article somewhere.

Dear members,

Typical newspaper idiot. Parroting the idiocy of the doctors who have oversimplified a very complex and complicated situation. Of course the insurance companies are going to stonewall until we have a million or more disabled people who cannot work and are sick and are going from duck to duck and getting nowhere. The cost and the waste are going to be horrendous but the dumb bunny Wormsers and Meades and Steeres and the insurance racket haven't thought about that one.

Because of an MD at his hospital, my Lyme & Babs was misdiagnosed. Thanks for nothing!

abx is all we've got so until you've got something better, safer & more efficacious, zip it.

Notice how no mention of co-infections was made?
