It is a long shot...but I have something goin on with my shoulders and neck and across the back.

There are too many pics for my lyme brain to go through so I thought I would see if anyone here can direct me to a pic and label for what I have and what to do about it.

First, I have noticed that the little white squiggles seem to grow together at times.

I have gotten out of the bath or shower and looked over my shoulder to see that one area is still very reddish/purple looking.

Mostly it is white patches of spots or squiggles. I had one doc asked if I was burned with cigarettes when I was little. NO.

But, i guess that is what it looked like to them.

Whatever it is seems to flare up at times especially on the neck..but could be because i can see it easier than the back.

One doc gave a name to it and told me to put something on it and that I could die from it.

I did not take them seriously at the time.

With lyme, this stuff on my back and neck is low priority. More of a curiousity.

It would be nice to be rid of it though.

I guess it is best described as white spots. Wonder if it would go away with a tan but have not been able to try salt water and tanning for quite some time now.

Thanks

Thanks - I have looked at those but I was under the impression that the UC Davis ones were different and included small skin growths etc.
I have spent a lot of time with the newbie link and thank you very much for that.

The link didn't work for me. My friend though sent me this pic of Lyme. (I hope it works.)

I used to get at least one of these, often more than one, every single summer as a kid from MOSQUITOS.

So they better stop calling it a tickborne disease, because the mosquitos have been biting me for 42 years, and they are all now carriers.
